The charge? Lying to Congress. Specifically, about his role in pushing the now-discredited Steele dossier into the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on alleged Russian election interference.
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan dropped the hammer earlier this week, referring Brennan for criminal prosecution after uncovering what he called “numerous willfully and intentionally false statements” during Brennan’s 2023 testimony before the committee.
